In my first co-op, I was a full stack developer working on the Leanpub website. I started out doing minor bug fixes, but by the end of the term I was solo developing large web features such as the 'Community Edition'.

Hello! I'm Scott Kenning, a full-stack developer and fourth year software engineering student at the University of Victoria. I specialize in Typescript and Javascript, but I enjoy writing code and solving problems in any language. Beyond the usual coursework, I'm leading a student project called StudySpaceFinder, a website that helps students find empty classrooms on campus. When I'm not staring at a screen, I enjoy playing soccer and the occasional round of golf.

StudySpaceFinder

StudySpaceFinder is a website that highlights empty classrooms around the University of Victoria. This project was done through the programming club Vikelabs, where I lead a team of 3 through the process of designing a functional website, from the initial idea and user research through to the finished product. The original inspiration stemmed from a constant struggle of finding an empty table during peak hours at the university. The front end is built in React, and the server is written in Go
